BMHS World Heritage in Focus

Tea Party by the Friends of the Museum - April 21
You can continue to learn more about the significance of heritage preservation in light Barbados' UNESCO World Heritage inscription when Prof. Henry Fraser speaks on this topic during a tea party organised by the Friends of the Museum. Kevin Farmer, the Museum's Deputy Director, will also explain how tea became fashionable in Barbados, and patrons will have an exclusive opportunity to view a special display of artefacts related to tea. Your donation: $40 per person. Save the date: Saturday, 21st April at 2:30 p.m. at the Barbados Museum.

The Rotary Club of Barbados is celebrating 50 Years of Service in Barbados and to mark this milestone an exhibition has been mounted at the Barbados Museum. This is an opportunity to learn more about the remarkable projects and initiatives that have been implemented by the Rotary Club from 1962 to 2012.

The guitar that belonged to the late Phyllis "Froggy" Collymore, which was presented to the BMHS today will be on display, along with information about her contribution to Barbados' entertainment industry, will be on special display from next week for a limited time. 

Be inspired by the life and work of The Right Reverend Sehon Goodridge as recounted by his widow, Janet Goodridge, in the biography By Divine Permission. Get your copies from The Museum Shop. Please see the attached flyer and feel free to circulate it to friends and family.

This 80 page educational pack will help  pupils and teachers to learn
about the key features of one of the most pressing human rights problems
in the world today.

It includes:
